Hi! I’m Morgan: wife, mother, homemaker, lover of chocolate, and, above all, daughter of the King. I live in New Mexico, where green chile is not only a condiment, but a way of life. And a literary character that I most relate with would be Anne (with an “e”) Shirley from Anne of Green Gables.

I started the OlderYounger blog because I believe the world has the whole idea of womanhood wrong (as it does with many things). God is very clear in His Word about His design for women. We are the homemakers, and oh! What power we have in this role! Regardless of whether we work outside the home or not, this is God’s unique role He has priveleged women with. It takes a lot of HARD work to be a good homemaker. And it can be quite the learning curve at times. And it can be a thankless job.

But it can also be the most rewarding, the most fulfilling, and the most impacting.

That’s why it’s important for us to learn to be good homemakers. Not only that, but we must also teach younger women the same. These are our instructions from Titus 2:

“…the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not give to much wine, teachers of good things–that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.”

Titus 2:3-5 NKJV

Therein lies the goal of this blog. It’s time for us to rally together as women–to take back our homes for the Lord–to let Jesus be the King of our lives–humbly remembering that each of us individually have been and are both the older and the younger women in this passage. We must continuously allow ourselves to be taught and to pass on what we have learned, all in accordance with Scripture and all for the glory of God.

Here at OlderYounger, you will find:

  • Resources to strengthen and encourage your walk with the Lord
  • Homemaking tips and tricks
  • Exhortation for up-and-coming homemakers (young ladies and teens)

Thank you for joining me on this homemaking journey. May God bless you and your homes.

With love,

Morgan
